CONTROLLERS
Below is a highlight of all the various controllers available through BD Retro Mods. Unless noted in the description, all controllers can be purchased through the Etsy shop or by sending an email to bdretromods@gmail.com. If ordering directly through email, most arcade style controllers can have a different button style and/or have the joystick swapped to the right side if desired.
None of these controllers are affiliated with the companies of the consoles or games they work on.
ATARI 2600 / ATARI 8-BIT / COMMODORE 64 - HANDHELD JOYSTICK CONTROLLER (MODEL 1)
This is a custom made Atari 2600 / Atari 8-Bit (400/800/XL/XE) / Commodore 64 handheld joystick controller. This can also work for the Atari 7800 on games that only use one button. Dimension of the 3D printed enclosure is approximately 4.75" x 3.75" x 1.75". Both action buttons are the same so that the controller joystick can be used either left or right handed. The joystick and 30mm buttons are Sanwa style (not official). Cable length is approximately 6 feet. Only available through special request via email.

ATARI 2600 / ATARI 8-BIT / COMMODORE 64 - HANDHELD JOYSTICK CONTROLLER (MODEL 2)

ATARI 2600 / ATARI 8-BIT / COMMODORE 64 - TRACK & FIELD STYLE CONTROLLER
This is a custom made Track & Field controller that is paying homage to the original controller made by Atari, Inc. in 1984, but with some quality of life improvements. Compared to the original controller, improvements include a slightly smaller size, repositioning of the jump/throw button, and slightly bigger buttons that are easily replaceable. A transparent blue enclosure (6" x 3.2" x 1.8") is used for the shell. This size allows you to hold it in your hand or use on a flat surface. There are also rubber feet at the bottom corners of the controller to keep it from slipping on a table. The buttons are 28mm Happ style (not official). Cable length is approximately 6 feet.
ATARI 2600 ARCADE STYLE PADDLE CONTROLLER
This paddle controller comes in two variations with either the paddle on the left or right side of the controller. It uses a 44mm aluminum paddle knob and a 28mm HAPP Style (not official) action button. The dimensions of the plastic enclosure is 7.6" x 4.4" x 2.2”. The controller cable is approximately 6’ in length.
This arcade style paddle controller acts as “Paddle 1” for the Atari 2600. This works for all games in one-player mode that use “Paddle 1” as Player 1. Four games for the Atari 2600 (Astroblast, Canyon Bomber, Demons to Diamonds, and Video Olympics) were coded to where Paddle 2 is actually Player 1 and Paddle 1 is Player 2. Atari also did the same thing for all paddle compatible games on the Atari 8-bit computers. A Multiple Paddle Adapter is available for purchase to take care of those situations and allow for two-player paddle games.
ATARI 2600 / ATARI 7800 / ATARI 8-BIT / COMMODORE 64 - SPACE INVADERS ARCADE STYLE CONTROLLER
This is a custom made Space Invaders arcade style controller for the Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari 8-Bit, and Commodore 64. In addition to Space Invaders, it works great for other games with the same control style such as Galaga and Demon Attack. On the left side of the controller are two 16mm push buttons for up and down for games that require those directions to navigate the menu of the game, etc. A black plastic enclosure is used for the shell. Dimensions of the enclosure are 8.7" x 5.9" x 2.3". There are also rubber feet at the bottom corners of the controller to keep it from slipping on a table. The arcade buttons are 28mm Happ style (not official). Cable length is approximately 6 feet.
ATARI 5200 - ARCADE STYLE CONTROLLER
This is a custom made Atari 5200 arcade style controller. A black plastic enclosure is used for the shell. Dimensions of the project box are 7.6" x 4.4" x 2.2”. There are rubber feet at the bottom corners of the controller to keep it from slipping on a table. The joystick and 30mm buttons are Sanwa style (not official). Cable length for this arcade style controller is approximately 9 feet. It has a 3x4 red and blue matrix keypad where A is Start, B is Pause and C is Reset. It also has two trim knobs to adjust the horizontal and vertical potentiometers to get center values. This is necessary as the original 5200 controllers have an analog stick (that broke easily) and arcade sticks are digital. The horizontal knob can also be used as a paddle for games such as Super Breakout and Kaboom.
ATARI 7800 - ARCADE STYLE CONTROLLER
This is a custom made Atari 7800 arcade style controller. It can also work on the Atari 2600 and Atari 8-bit line of computers (Atari 400, 800, 800XL, 1200XL, 65XE, 130XE and XEGS). A black plastic enclosure is used for the shell. Dimensions of the enclosure are 8.7" x 5.9" x 2.3". There are also rubber feet at the bottom corners of the controller to keep it from slipping on a table. The joystick is Sanwa style (not official) and 28mm buttons are Happ style (not official). Cable length is approximately 6 feet.

This is a brand new third party NES style controller that has been modified to be used on the Atari 7800. This controller is also compatible with the Atari 2600 and Atari 8-Bit Computers (Atari 400, 800, 800XL, 1200XL, 65XE, 130XE and XEGS) Cable length is between 5 to 6 feet.
ATARI 7800 - NES "DOG BONE" STYLE CONTROLLER
This is a brand new third party NES "dog bone" style controller that has been modified to be used on the Atari 7800. This controller is also compatible with the Atari 2600 and Atari 8-Bit Computers (Atari 400, 800, 800XL, 1200XL, 65XE, 130XE and XEGS) Cable length is between 5 to 6 feet.
ATARI DUAL STICK - ARCADE STYLE CONTROLLER
This is a custom made Atari Dual Stick arcade style controller that is compatible with the Atari 2600, 7800 and Atari 8-Bit Computers (400, 800, 800XL, 1200XL, 65XE, 130XE, XEGS). Works with games that support dual stick gameplay through the Player 1 and 2 controller ports (such as Robotron 2084 and Raiders of the Lost Ark). A black plastic enclosure is used for the shell. Dimensions of the enclosure is 7.6” x 4.4” x 2.2”. Joysticks and 24mm buttons are Sanwa style (not official). Both joysticks have octagonal gates installed on them, which help control dual stick games better. Cable length is approximately 5 to 6 feet.

ATARI JAGUAR - ARCADE STYLE CONTROLLER
This is a custom made Atari Jaguar arcade style combo controller. Uses a black plastic case with a black acrylic top. Dimensions of the case are approximately 11.75" x 7.75" x 2". There are rubber feet at the bottom corners of the controller to keep it from slipping on a table. The joystick with an octagonal gate and 30mm buttons are Sanwa style (not official). Has rotary control on the side for Tempest 2000. The rotary knob is a black metal. Uses a first party game control board and the cable length for this arcade style combo controller is approximately 6 feet.
ATARI JAGUAR CONTROLLER /W ROTARY MOD
This is a brand new first party Atari Jaguar controller that has been modified with a rotary control to properly play games such as Tempest 2000. The rotary knob is made of black metal. The directional pad is still usable as there is a switch on the back of the controller to toggle between the directional pad and rotary knob.
COLECOVISION (2-BUTTON) - ARCADE STYLE CONTROLLER
This is a custom made ColecoVision arcade style controller. A black plastic sloped enclosure is used for the shell. Dimensions of the enclosure are 8.7" x 5.9" x 2.3". There are rubber feet at the bottom corners of the controller to keep it from slipping on a table. The joystick is a Sanwa style (not official). Action buttons are 28mm Happ style (not official). Cable length for this arcade style controller is approximately 6 feet. This will not work on ColecoVision games that require the Super Action Controller and/or use of the full keypad to play it (such as Mouse Trap).

This is a custom made ColecoVision Super Action arcade style controller. A black plastic enclosure is used for the shell. Dimensions of the enclosure are 8.7" x 5.9" x 2.3". There are rubber feet at the bottom corners of the controller to keep it from slipping on a table. The joystick is a Sanwa style (not official). Action buttons are 28mm Happ style (not official). HYPER OLYMPIC / SPORTS CONTROLLER

The player two controller cable is approximately 6 feet and plugs into the port on the back of the player one controller.
INTELLIVISION II - ARCADE STYLE CONTROLLER
This is a custom made Intellivision II arcade style controller. A black plastic enclosure is used for the shell. Dimensions of the enclosure are approximately 8.7" x 5.9" x 2.3" and weighs approximately 2lb. There are rubber feet at the bottom corners of the controller to keep it from slipping on a table. The joystick and 24mm action buttons are a Sanwa style (not official). Buttons for the keypad area are 12mm push buttons. Cable length for this arcade style controller is between 5 to 6 feet. Please read the manual for this controller to understand the controller compatibility as this will not work on all games. An adapter cable is also available to use this on the original Intellivision and INTV III consoles. Only available at conventions or special request via email.

This is a custom made TurboGrafx-16 / PC Engine arcade style controller. A black plastic enclosure is used for the shell. Dimensions of the enclosure are 8.7" x 5.9" x 2.3". There are also rubber feet at the bottom corners of the controller to keep it from slipping on a table. The joystick is Sanwa style (not official). The I & II action buttons are 28mm Happ style (not official). The select and start buttons are 12mm push buttons. Has one-mode turbo on/off switches for the I & II buttons. Includes a cable adapter to use this on a PC Engine as well. Cable length is approximately 9 feet.
USB SPINNER CONTROLLER
This is a custom made USB Spinner Controller that is compatible with PC (MAME), Raspberry Pi (RetroPie) and MiSTer (supported cores) as it is seen as a mouse input on these devices. Works great with games such as Arkanoid and Tempest. Spinner can also be changed to be on the right side instead of the left. A black plastic enclosure is used for the shell. Dimensions of the enclosure are approximately 8.7" x 5.9" x 2.3". There are rubber feet at the bottom corners of the controller to keep it from slipping on a table. Uses a GRS spinner and buttons are Happ style (not official). Cable length for this is between 1.5 to 2 feet. Only available at conventions or special request via email.
USB TRACKBALL CONTROLLER
This is a custom made USB Trackball Controller that is compatible with PC (MAME), Raspberry Pi (RetroPie) and MiSTer (supported cores) as it is seen as a mouse input on these devices. Works great with games such as Centipede and Missile Command. Layout can also be changed for the trackball to be on the right side instead of the left. Dimensions of the enclosure are approximately 8.7" x 5.9" x 2.3" and weighs approximately 2lb. There are rubber feet at the bottom corners of the controller to keep it from slipping on a table. Uses a GRS Trackball Pro and the 28mm action buttons are Happ style (not official). It has a button to instantly change the speed sensitivity (six levels) of the trackball while playing. Has another button to cycle through a dozen different LED trackball ring colors and effects. Cable length for this is between 2 to 3 feet. Only available at conventions or special request via email.
VECTREX - ARCADE STYLE CONTROLLER
This is a custom made Vectrex arcade style controller. Since this is a digital controller, it will not be compatible with games that require analog controls to function correctly. Like the Atari 5200 though, almost all of the games did not utilize the analog features. There may be more games, but I only found Hyperchase, XMas Cart 2014, and Spike's Water Balloons to require analog controls when searching online.

The end of the cable connector has been manually sanded down with a Dremel so it can fit into the controller port of the Vectrex.

ACCESSORIES
12' COMPOSITE CABLE - TI99/4A, ATARI 800, 800XL, 1200XL, 65XE and 130XE
This is a brand new 12 foot composite cable that has been modified to be used on the TI-99/4A, Atari 800, Atari 800XL, Atari 1200XL, Atari 65XE and Atari 130XE. This gives a clearer picture than using an original RF switch. These computers only have mono sound output, but the audio connections are bridged to have the sound out of both speakers of a television or monitor.
ATARI 2600 / 8-BIT - MULTIPLE PADDLE ADAPTER
This is an additional accessory for your Atari Arcade Style Paddle Controller and/or Hyperkin Ranger controllers to be able to add an additional controller for paddle games. This adapter is a solution for the following situations:
Add a second paddle controller (or Hyperkin Ranger controller) for two-player paddle games.
Be able to play the four 2600 games (Astro Blaster, Canyon Bomber, Demons to Diamonds, and Video Olympics) in one-player mode by plugging into the Paddle 2 port.
Be able to play paddle games on Atari 8-bit computers. (Player 1 = Paddle 2, Player 2 = Paddle 1)
The adapter also provides an additional 6’ of cable length from the Atari console/computer.
INTELLIVISION / INTV III CABLE ADAPTER
This is a 6' controller extension cable that has been modified to be able to be used on an Intellivison or INTV III so that you can use an Intellivision II Controller on these consoles. To use this adapter cable, you must be comfortable with opening the Intellivison console; unscrewing some parts to safely remove the original controllers; plug the cable adapter(s) in correctly; and then putting the console back together.
